What will your defining moment be?
I had my defining moment in 2005 while working for a large corporation. I was working 50 to 60 hours per week, on call 24/7 and had a boss that kept his thumb on me constantly. The stress level was more than I wanted to handle. I had started down a road that was leading to health issues. I was not exercising, taking time off or eating right. I was in a bad mood all the time. My home life was suffering and I was ready for the load to be lifted. I even had a patch of hair fall out of my head!
I made a choice that day to begin following my dreams. I didn’t know how I was going to do it just that I was going to start designing a new life. This lead to me leaving the high stress high paying position and begin a journey. I knew that I was never going to reach my dreams working for someone else. I needed to find a business that I could work and build from my computer and phone. One that wouldn’t tie me to one location. After a few months of research I found my first vehicle to financial and time freedom. A business that I started building while I was still employed. I worked it part time, after work and on the weekend.
My part time business was beginning to fund my dreams. Now I use the profits, knowledge and connections gained from building that home based business to help fund my investment property ventures.
It’s been over 14 years ago that I made a decision to make some major changes. These days I work with my Dad in the “Family” electrical business and own several investment properties.
It takes effort, time, help and luck to realize your goals and dreams. I’m constantly setting new and bigger ones so I don’t get bored with life.
My message is simple and clear. Self-discipline, mind my own business, build a life of freedom, & help others that what to help themselves.
